The Official Probably This 2021 Holiday Movie Guide

This post is sponsored by Amazon, as always all opinions are our own. You can view Amazon Prime Video’s full selection of holiday titles right here!

One of our favorite parts about the holiday season is the Big Chill Energy that comes the day after a holiday. Like, leading up to Thanksgiving, you’re freaking out over what sides to make (we have plenty of recipes for you, by the way), or figuring out how to set the table (we’ve got you covered there too) and while that stuff is fun in its own chaotic-cranberry-sauce-covered kinda way, the day after Thanksgiving and the winter holidays is when the big chill sets in. Pajamas and leftovers and, most importantly, movies, are on the menu. We’ve got our top five picks available on Prime Video for you below :)

For our viewing sesh, we’re using our Fire TV Stick 4K Max to stream from Prime Video. With the Alexa Voice Remote, it’s so easy to search for any of our favorite movies with just a simple voice command. Not sure what to watch? Let Fire TV help you! They’ll be featuring favorite movies from Amazon team members, so you can watch knowing these movies were vetted by people who love movies. You can also say, “Alexa, find holiday movies” to find some holiday cheer.

Plus, our Echo Studio provides premium audio for the ultimate home theater experience and is super simple to set up: we just plugged in, opened the Alexa App, and wirelessly connected to our other Echo devices so we can control our movie sound effortlessly. Highly recommend you check both of those out, as well!

Without further ado, I present:

The Official Probably This 2021 Holiday Movie Guide

1.) The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show

What can we say? We’re die hard Kacey fans, and this special is so much fun! We watched it three times last year? Is that embarrassing? There are so many appearances, too, like Leon Bridges and Lana del Rey and Troye Sivan and Kendall Jenner. A classic for us!

2.) Jingle All The Way

Major throwback magic featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger! It’s full of 90’s nostalgia and honestly not enough people are talking about how great this film is. We’d give you more details but I don’t want to ruin anything!

3.) The Polar Express

Seeing this in theatres as a kid was pure magic—the animation felt completely wild and where is my TRAIN??? We gave it another watch last year and it still holds up. Such a fun, sweet holiday movie for the whole family (or, just, you know, two adult men who are sappy).

4.) Knives Out

OK, so no this isn’t technically a * holiday movie * like the rest of these are, but it’s totally got a holiday vibe to it and makes for the perfect film for cozy couch time.

5.) Family Stone

Talk about iconic! Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Jessica Parker??? Family Stone is basically like watching someone else’s weird family holiday drama unfold, and if that isn’t a refreshing break from your own, well what is? A favorite for sure.

Let us know if you give any (or all) of these a watch, and tell us what you think!

xoxo
