Probably This Collection Fall 2019
Our little autumnal bb is here!
If you’re new to Probably This Collection—it’s a seasonal collection we design ourselves and with the help of a few small makers, and this is our third installment! The collections vary, but typically include apparel, homey stuff, good smelling things like candles or essential oil blends, and accessories like totes. It’s quickly become one of our favorite things to do, because we love making this stuff and then we reaaallly love seeing other people love it. It’s a fun time.
Because of all of the amazing support for the past collections, we’re now able to have a giving back element—that’s something we’ve wanted to do from the start, and now that we’re confident it would be significant amount, we’re ready to go for it. 10% of this collection’s profits will be going straight to The National Center for Transgender Equality which does a whole lot of work to change social and legal treatment of trans and gender non-conforming folks. And now let’s dive into a few of the items and how we came up with them!
Cute
Embroidered Tees & Sweatshirts
We get told we say “cute” a lot online. It’s just a thing. So now it’s embroidered onto tees and sweatshirts! Matt hand-drew the design and we picked out some of our favorite seasonal colors to put it on. The shirts come in cream, autumn (orange), olive, mauve, and navy, and the sweatshirt comes in a rich burgundy color. A great way to rep your own cuteness!
Plant Gay
Tees, Totes, Sweatshirts, Cross-Body Bags, & Enamel Pins
We have a lot of plants. Like, a lot of plants!! And turns out a lot of our friends online do to, and we started to notice a lot of fellow gays really love plants just as much as we do—so it’s officially a thing. Plant Gay. Available in black tees, pink totes, white or black or indigo sweatshirts, and black or khaki cross body bags (coming soon). This design is also hand-drawn by Matt!
Better Homo & garden
Totes, Aprons, & Enamel Pins
Our tag line is “for a better homo & garden” because we try to cover a variety of home lifestyle topics and also we’re gay…it felt like a fitting riff on one of our favorite brands. For the spring collection earlier this year we just had this design available on totes and they were a huge hit—which honestly surprised us—so we brought it back as a permanent fixture in our shop and also added the design option as an embroidered apron and enamel pin. I really hope people put the tote pins on the tote because that would be really meta and also really cute.
Candles
Daddy Candle & No. 1 Palm Drive Candle
These are two of our favorite items in the whole collection because oh my god they smell so good and they are SO high quality. The maker we created these with is located in New Orleans, so we got to go test out our scent concepts in person and do a bunch of tinkering before we came up with the final products. The Daddy Candle is meant to smell like a sexy older gentleman at a nice bar—kinda trying to summon up moody cozy feelings through scents of clove, cognac, orange, driftwood, and pipe smoke. The No.1 Palm Drive Candle is meant to be our take on fall in South Louisiana with oak moss and bay leaf and anise and lemon verbena. No.1 Palm Drive is the address of New Orleans City Park, which has gorgeous oak trees and is the perfect spot to enjoy a cool Louisiana fall day. The No. 1 Palm Drive Candle is great for an easy going day time burn, while the Daddy Candle is perfect for a warm and cozy night.

We’re in love with our dog, okay! This pin image has such a weird viral history. First our friends did a surprise photoshoot of him when they were watching him one day, and he was such a good model, and then we posted the photo and it kept getting reshared and some people even did artistic renderings of it, and so now we have this digital file that we got embroidered on baseball caps for the spring collection, and well… now it’s on a pin! Whew.
