Our Tips for Early Morning Travel
Sponsored by Nature’s Way Alive! Multivitamins
We travel, like, kind of a whole lot. In the past year, we’ve visited 12 states, several spots in Mexico, a few islands in the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Whenever we travel, we’re pretty much always doing it on a budget, and this means picking cheap flights that often at 5 and 6 in the morning. We’ve gotten used to it, kind of! Well, we’ve gotten good at it, at least.
Below we’ve got a few of our tips for early morning travel, and how our partner for this post Nature’s Way Alive! Multivitamins fits right into our early morning travel routine. Alive! Multivitamin gummy vitamins help maintain a healthy immune system, which is pretty much super important when traveling. We hope the below tips help you on your next early morning trip!
Choose Your Alarm Wisely
OK, so when you’re waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. to catch a flight, you’re going to need a little extra motivation to get moving. One of our favorite things to do when planning a trip, especially to an international destination, is set an alarm ringtone that originates from or matches the theme of that destination. It’s a remarkably effective way to get excited for your travel, and to get you out of bed. Even if you’re just, like, headed on a work trip to Houston, maybe Beyonce can help get you excited for her hometown. It’s a little something cute to do for yourself!
Have Your Morning Jumpstart Ready to Go
We have different attitudes towards travel. Once we’re up and out of bed, Matt likes to get fully ready to waltz into the airport, while I prefer to stay as close to asleep as possible. For us, that means Matt has his coffee set to brew right at the time our alarm goes off, while for me I’ve got an herbal tea ready for some hot water. We then both take our supplements for the day, which has recently included Alive! Premium Men’s Gummy Multivitamins. The gummy vitamins taste great, and contain all of the daily recommend vitamins and minerals.
Make Travel Outfit Selections the Night Before
Picking out your outfit the night before an early morning trip is probably the most important thing you can do to streamline your morning. Our outfits always match our desired travel mode, with Matt going for something super put together and I always just stick to a comfortable sweater and jeans.
Call the Hotel for Early Check In!
The worst thing that can ever happen is that you get up at 4 a.m. for a flight, arrive to your destination at 10 a.m., and get told you can’t check in to your room until 3 p.m. It’s like, awful. So, the night before we have an early flight and arrival, we call the hotel to see about early check in. They basically will always know whether or not it’s possible, and if someone is in fact staying in that room, most hotels will flag the room for getting cleaned as early as possible so that you don’t have to wait a long time once you arrive. If they tell you you won’t be able to check in until several hours after your flight, make sure they can hold your bags for you and make a plan for what you’re going to do while you wait for your room to be ready.
