Let There Be Light: Taper Candle Holders We Love

It’s not hoarding, it’s a COLLECTION.

Over the years, we’ve grown quite a large collection of taper candle holders, scouring our favorite shops online and estate sales IRL to add new pieces of varying heights and colors and materials. And ever since we bought our mountain home, we’ve had an excuse to start whole new collection!!! When we were planning for our Thanksgiving celebration and wedding at the property last fall, we got a ton of candle holders to place around the house to make things feel a little extra special and romantic. Tapers are our favorite way to set an intimate and relaxing mood while entertaining, and we love having a variety of holders for whatever the table setting or season calls for.

Over the years we’ve just kept adding because we’re always finding new pieces we love, and they don’t really take up much space! Below we’ve put together a round-up of our favorite finds to feed your addiction…I mean build your collection.

Threshold 6” Short Ceramic Taper Holder | (under $10!) I love how cute and squat these are! They’re perfect for Modern Organic, Modern Farmhouse, or California Modern home styles. I’d probably shy away from using these on a dining table but could see myself placing these throughout the home on any surface that needs a little casual dressing up.
Lemon Taper Candlestick | Quirky is IN! I love how fun these are, and while I maybe wouldn’t display them year round, they would make an Easter table setting, or be perfect to have out from April through August for spring and summer decorating :)
Threshold Ceramic Textured Candelabra | The way I’m getting medieval vibes from this?! I absolutely love the shape and would pair with more sleek and modern decorative items to avoid a 7th Century-cosplay situation.

H&M Ceramic Candlestick | ($20 and under!) I love the simplistic but eye-catching shape! I would use this on a small bistro table, on the center of a fireplace mantle, or as a decorative item on a bookshelf (obvi don’t light it on your bookshelf lol).
Silhouette Taper Candle Holder | ($15 and under!) This is such a fun take on a line drawing portrait! I would love this piece in a home office to add a bit of whimsy and provide moody lighting during a late-night writing sesh.

UO Spiral Taper Candle Holder | ($10 and under!) These are so whimsical, I’d love to have this in an art studio, home office, or in the home of anyone who loves a little quirk! Playful pieces like this are also a great way to add personality to and/or tone down spaces that have a more serious or stuffy aesthetic.
